Boat Leader Courses

The boat leader course includes theoretical lectures (no practical skills are needed for the exam, except for the work performed on a chart and knot tying) of navigation, maritime skills, knowledge of engines, meteorology, maritime regulations and the prevention of the collisions at sea.

Course Organisation

Three 4-hour lectures (usually Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), after that it’s time for studying. Next week we'll revise - preparation for the exam. The exam will take place on Saturday the same week.
The lectures are at 17:30. The lectures and the exams take place in Maribor.

The lectures can also take place in other locations if there are at least 20 participants.

The licence is internationally recognised and is valid for all boats to 24 meters regardless of the engine type and power, for personal use, or transportation of passengers in restricted waterways of rivers as well as lakes and the sea.
Our course performers have the authorisation for carrying out the courses of the maritime administration of RS.

Lecturers

The teachers who lecture have lots of experience and have the title Captain of ocean-going navigation. They have lots of experience with the preparation of course participants, so the success rate on the exams is almost 100%.

The price includes the course, the fee for taking the exam and for the issue of the document, the fee and the study materials.
